Excellent and timely access to outpatient specialty care is a critical requirement in healthcare. As part of an ongoing effort to increase access to specialty care, our client conducted a current state assessment of the outpatient specialty referral and consultation process and related health IT applications. The goal of the assessment is to provide recommendations to enhance the operating model with the appropriate tools, processes and metrics to ensure success in timely specialty appointments.

• Provided recommendations to reduce the effect of key barriers to optimize consult/referral practices and reduce appointment wait times for specialty care​
